Well you’ve gotten through October with Venus retrograde so now you only have a few days to go before you emerge fully from your cocoon. You’ve certainly been a tad insular and withdrawn throughout October and many may have misinterpreted that as standoffishness. But you were being neither cold nor unfriendly, simply for you own self-protection you needed time to reflect and mentally and emotionally recharge. But after the first week all that will change and not only will you re-introduce yourself to the world, you’ll literally sweep them off their feet.

There were a few issues that you had to consider in your down time and you’ve metaphorically (if not literally) wiped the slate clean. Still you’re not going to beat yourself up over yours or others mistakes – “live and let live” is your new motto. There was the possibility too for some Scorpios that they were “off air” for more “indelicate” reasons that you needed to do behind the scenes although it’s true to say that if you had your time over you wouldn’t do it again. But was fun while it lasted even if ultimately less than ideal and just chalk it up to experience.

You’re simply awash with money ideas and renewed enthusiasm to launch yourself into the commercial world armed with the necessary motivation to want to make lots of $’s. It’s all positive stuff and switching your focus from your personal life to your moneymaking ability suits you down to the ground at this juncture. You might be wheeling and dealing in real estate (property sales/purchases are in the stars) although around the full moon (21st) tread warily, read everything twice and count to ten before saying yes.

There will be some major changes in your life this month. It may simply relate to a better career situation, financial bottom line or change of residence, however whilst I feel all those are possible, there is more to the story.

There will not simply be modifications in your life, more like a revolutionary transformation! The new moon in your 1st demands that it’s an appropriate and opportune time to reinvent yourself, or failing that, simply start showing the “real you”. You’ll be the architect of this as you’re asking some pretty weighty and philosophical questions of yourself (carried over from last month) and you’ve been looking at life at a different angle. What rattled your cage up until now may no longer excite you although some of the things you’re losing interest in may simply be part of a maturation process!

You’ll finish the month is a very different space to how you started it, but don’t worry your judgment is spot on right now so you’ll reach the right conclusions about a most important (and key) issue.

After a period of unusually busy (for you) socialising and getting out there, you return to your natural and comfortable emotional and mental retreat. During October you’re definitely not keen to mix it as there appears to be too much going on “inside” that you want to think about and deal with quietly. There may be work that you need to catch up on whilst you’ve been busy or a matter than you need to address that requires this contemplation, but whatever it is, you’re doing it “behind the scenes”.

You can spend your life shutting down or putting on the mask when you have relationship issues to deal with in order to hide your true feelings and motivations. Those nearest and/or dearest will feel as if you have an ulterior motive or a hidden agenda; and it is quite likely that you do!

Remember also that when you don’t share what you are feeling you will also hide your true personality so no-one will ever get the real you – this is very true for new relationships!

I believe that circumstances in the past month have given you reason to rethink some plans and you will be giving a lot of thought as to how 2011 is going to pan out differently to 2010 in key areas. Whatever role you were playing (spouse, work colleague, parent, sibling etc) you will be changing it big time especially if you acknowledge (only to yourself of course!) that your modus operandi in this regard was NOT ideal. It won’t be as difficult as you think and October will be THE month to undertake this reformation. It will bring you better relationships, more transparency and greater happiness.

Wow, you are positively sizzling and quite irresistible. That is a good thing because what you are trying to bring to fruition requires not only a deft touch but a miracle worker, a salesperson extraordinaire (selling snow to the Eskimo’s standard) and great strength of character.

You are deep and profound most of the time but in September you will be immersed in thought and self analysis. You are weighing up monumental steps that will incubate in September but take form in October. Certain elements of your life will change and you want to keep this under wraps until you absolutely have to let the cat out of the bag. It’s a question of following your true hearts desire and minimizing the inevitable fallout. Jupiter has made you somewhat cavalier and more of a risk taker than usual, in fact it’s a case of too much of a good thing but you are way beyond that in your thinking.

This won’t be a walk in the park and all eyes will be on you. For some it equates to embracing unusual and exciting romantic opportunities, for others it relates to your career or even a great change in lifestyle but be warned September brings with it a great wave of impulsiveness. Get ready for some major surprises and hopefully some new insights as previous expectations and structures will be upended and after mid month its all systems go as the green light turns on for the early October showdown. If you are eligible this is the stuff of dreams.

If you look hard enough in the egg you will find the hair so I urge you to (as I did in the weekly scopes) to continue to work on your inner world and shake out any residue dark thoughts.

That said I do feel that you are no longer hibernating as you have done in the past and are now out and about more perhaps because you are impelled to do so with work or via others plans rather than from you own initiation. Doesn’t matter, the end result is the same and it will force to you to be expansive in your outlook as opposed to driving yourself mad with anxious thoughts.

You are aware that a huge chapter in your life has reached its end – it’s more like Book 1 and Book II and there may still be people who need to exit your life before you step into the next realm. It is true that some folk are a bit slow on the uptake and even though you’ve made your stance quite clear for some months, there will be lingering people tied up in your old life that will slowly fade out over time. Your outlook, needs, wants and desires have radically changed so some people will no longer agree with or understand your new attitude and stances which is fine, it clears the decks for Book II. You certainly are not the slightest bit interested any more in anyone who presumes to take you for granted or for a ride.

However you owe it to yourself to pay attention to all areas of your communication with others, what you say, how you say it and when you say it. There are bridges to cross in August and these relate in the main to your career.

There are rewards and accolades there for you to seize but you are not convinced that you have stamina to fight for them just yet. There is no such thing as a free lunch and you more than anyone knows and relishes what power success brings so do not procrastinate any longer. August is a month that allows for greater prominence in the workforce/business if you wish it.

As I wrote in your weeklies nothing that has gone before will you use to apply to the future - it didn’t work for you then and is of no use now. You’ve been disappointed by the outcomes of the past and do not want to repeat the same mistakes.

It would not be unrealistic to say that you are reassembling the life that you have been living for the past decade or so and will simply discard (or leave out) parts that are no longer pertinent. You are in repair mode and this will affect every aspect of your existence.

No time to hide under the blanket because you feel emotionally raw (much as you’d like to) you must start living your new future and getting on with it. There is much to do to start putting “right” with your life so don’t waste a second reflecting on the past or feeling gloomy. In fact July is full of opportunity for you, if you look for the signals they are incoming from everywhere, especially in the area of romance which is looking better than it has for over a decade!

In fact some things that happen in July have the potential to impact not only on your immediate plans but well into your future. This could be love, job, house related – as I said all areas of your life are changing and you’re fixing things in your life that aren’t ideal. Many of you have or will relocate.

You are in the process of mass restructuring including your working life to better suit your needs but I do caution against making major decisions regarding your career until the end of July.

This month Saturn will enter your 12th house (more of this shortly in another posting) when you will be contemplating the meaning of your existence, your accomplishments, and your "failures" and putting them all into perspective.

When you start to look at life in spiritual rather than material terms (which you will) it will change your whole focus and direction.

The “trait theory” is a major approach to the study of human personality. Traits can be defined as “habitual patterns of behavior, thought, and emotion” that are relatively stable over time. Not for you.

Youressential character is undergoing a metamorphosis and your likes and dislikes, interests, opinions – everything - is not quite the same as it was say twelve months ago.

This is fallout from the experiences (trauma?) that you’ve undergone and your only way forward or even the key to your emotional survival necessitates drastic updates to your thinking. You no longer look at your environment in the same way or the people who remain in it in the same light.

You feel on occasion that your body and mind is not really you - that it belongs to someone else or you’ve been abducted in your sleep by UFO’s and now are essentially different. You are.

Cognitive thought processes have been reprogrammed and you must (and will) get excited about things all over again. Slowly your joie de vivre will creep back so long as you don’t allow yourself to dwell on morbid thoughts.

and you will be changing the structures and routines of your life to better yourself and your psyche.

Travel will provide fresh perspectives – either for work or pleasure – and this month does emphasis movement. By the time you are reading my July horoscope at least one piece of your currently fragile puzzle will have been cemented back into place and your whole world will look a lot more appealing and safe.

Scorpios are probably the second least likely person to know what really makes them tick, followed by everyone else! You try and ferret out what you really need, what inspires you and what motivates you to act in the way you do but this becomes problematic because you have such profound and intense feelings about everything that it’s hard to analyze what it is that you really want.

You are presently going through a major emotional upheaval and change. Whilst you abhor change that about all you’ve know for the last few years. Situations have either built up to power kegs or simply become unworkable which has left you no alternative but to move on.

You would prefer not to keep repeating this pattern and right now you are working out a range of different scenarios in your mind, each with a different outcomes. They include maintaining the status quo, moving the goal posts, making a commitment or calling it quits altogether.

There is one particular relationship which is central to this thinking and which you remain so unclear about, that is which direction to take but it’s a big issue and it shouldn’t be avoided for too much longer

Let me tell you this: this month has enormous potential for making fresh plans for the future and you have one of the best opportunities for a long time to sort out your emotional life once and for all.

In every respect your life is about to improve dramatically, especially on the creative front, AND via your love life, if you let love in. At any rate I do feel you will be assessing your love life and a current, new or past love. If you allow this to happen it may well become one of the best months ever…

Your partner (business or emotional) will be instrumental and beneficial to both your outlook and your security this month and you should be feeling very secure financially if not emotionally. Certainly you will feel a sense of well being and of being protected. Security is not such a bad thing after all is it?

NB: You may feel as if someone is coercing you or that you are being bulldozed in some way. Do not rebel against what you perceive as undue influence as the opportunity you have this month for making amazing progress in every area of your life, especially romantically is too good to mess up.

You’ve had a sudden and intuitive leap of understanding regarding your committed relationships and realize how much you have either neglected your partners or taken advantage of them in some way and are now inspired to being the best you possibly can.

This new found zest for enjoyment and pleasure doesn’t necessarily obliterate entirely the very issues that made you cranky and withdrawn in the first instance, it merely means that you have made a decision on how to behave and that’s what you are going to do.

Everyone is impacting on your thoughts in some way and you constantly feel as if you are madly swimming upwards towards the surface, while the cement blocks tied around your feet are dragging you downwards into the depths.

You’re currently winning this battle of the psyche at least for the next few weeks after which you may well revert back to your cantankerous ways of the past few months. I urge you to use this mellow time constructively by planning in a positive way for the future and exploring ideas together that will provide you with the mental and emotional freedom that you seek (read peace of mind) whilst at the same time not losing your togetherness.

You are also strongly focused on your offspring and your part in their future and your sense of mortality is strongly connected with a desire to establish a trust, make a bequest or put in place concrete plans to ensure their financial future is protected.

Some folk are saying that you are a happy chappy but I know that the first few months of 2010 (not to mention the end of 2009) have not been good.

I’ve been saying in my weekly horoscope that you are frustrated to all hell and due to the fact that you present a good façade, only your nearest and dearest are aware that you are emotionally and mentally drained and depleted.

You have been obsessed with the pursuit of success and recognition from your peers and yet your life has felt on hold. Worse you’ve been trapped in an endless cycle of disappointments with no light at the end of the tunnel.

The good news is that from mid month things will start improving again and whilst this vortex was far from pleasant, you will come out of it with more resilience and inspired. You’ve done a lot of recriminating during this period and know exactly what directions you need to take.

Never one to avoid fighting for the spotlight you will be relieved to hear that you will get a shot of enthusiasm from the cosmos which will help you deal with all the stress and even if you have to modify some of your plans, your Scorpio drive will help you to achieve the seemingly impossible.

You will come out swinging but do try to temper this with fairness and whatever you do try not to create any scandals along the way…

Pluto in 2010 will be transiting your 3rd house of communications and the influence you wield through the use of words. Your speech will become more powerful so watch what comes out of your mouth! There will be a powerful urge to better understand others and their motivations. Your relationships to your siblings and neighbours may alter and every communication and conversations will take on a deeper meaning.

Above all else, Pluto will not allow you to be superficial but demand that you dig deeper until you have uncovered the real meaning of what is said and heard. This is the beginning of wide psychological changes taking place within you and a regeneration of self at the very basic level.

In the first phase, your beliefs that are not based on truth will be called into question, many of which you may have held for years and emotional crises may force you to change your views and your place in the world. No longer will you settle for superficial answers but be driven to know the truth.

In the latter half of the transit you will begin to gain a new perspective of the world and how you fit into it.

Month
